When renting a vehicle, have you ever wondered if you really need rental insurance or which are the best protection products? If this is your case and if you want to prevent a bad time due to an unforeseen event on the road, the answer is yes.

Travel with total security and peace of mind by renting with Alamo.

We explain each of the protection coverage we offer at Alamo so that you can make the best decision and have peace of mind on the road:

Assistance Plus:

‍Bypurchasing Roadside Assistance Protection (RSP), Renter is contractually released from responsibility for the cost of providing 24/7 roadside assistance (where available), which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), tire inflation service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed away).

Protection against payment of deductible:

Deductible Protection (DP) can be purchased as additional protection in addition to Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection (CDW-TP) and Third Party Liability Coverage (TPL).

Roadside assistance protection (RSP):

‍ThePSR includes towing (not related to an accident), flat tire service (if no spare is available, the vehicle will be towed) and locksmith service (if keys are left inside the vehicle). A jump start and fuel service of up to 5 gallons (or its equivalent in liters) is also provided.

Third party liability insurance:

By taking out TPL protection, customers may be covered for damage and injury to third parties, in accordance with the provisions of the rent a car insurance. This is mandatory unless the customer provides valid written proof of current liability insurance specifying coverage in Costa Rica or if the customer takes out the Alamo Protection Package (APP), which includes TPL.TPL provides coverage for incidents occurring during the rental period in Costa Rica.

Tire and Windshield Protection (TWP):

The protection for the tires and windshield exempts the customer from liability in case of damage to the tires and windshield.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional, has an additional cost and is not a requirement to rent a vehicle. If you choose to include the CDW in your rental agreement, you will be contractually released from liability for all or part of the cost of damage, loss or theft of the vehicle.

Rent with the peace of mind and seriousness that Alamo offers you, and make your trips a unique experience with the help of experts!
