Taking a short break should not be a complete mission impossible, take to the road, enjoy it while you get out of the routine and discover the great variety of places you can visit in just one day.

At Alamo we took the task of providing you with a list of places that you can consider to spend a different day with family or friends:

-La Marta: It is a Wildlife Refuge that has a trail that complies with Law 7600 for the observation of species, you can also enjoy natural spas and waterfalls.

-Tapantí: It has four trails surrounded by beautiful vegetation and sightings of different species such as birds, tapirs, monkeys, among others. It also has a fabulous viewpoint and the waterfall El Salto.

-Orosi Viewpoint: The spectacular view offered by this viewpoint is ideal for a family picnic day, as it also has playgrounds for children and spaces that comply with Law 7600.

-Laguna Don Manuel: In addition to its spectacular lagoon, it has trails, picnic areas and tables around the lagoon.

-Ruins of Ujarrás: If you want to spend a day enjoying the tranquility that nature offers you, Ujarrás is the place. It offers a beautiful view, you can visit the ruins of the church and its gardens.

-Finca Los Vientos: You can enjoy the wonderful view of all San Jose, this place is perfect for glamping or enjoy nature, the beautiful view and its sunsets.

-La Olla Crater: Located on the slopes of the Irazú Volcano, you can walk around the crater and enjoy the scenery.

-Bosque del Niño: It has 3 trails with panoramic views of the Central Valley, ranches and recreation areas.

-Hacienda La Chimba: This fabulous place offers you different activities to enjoy in one day such as canopy, high ropes, coffee tour and trails to the Mantra Tail and the Mantra Hand sculpture.
