If you are planning a long road trip and you need to travel at night or early in the morning, precaution is your best ally. Here are some tips to help you travel safely to your destination:

Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road.

Rest before hitting the road.

Resting before hitting the road will help keep you alert on the road. If you don't get enough rest, try to consume foods or drinks that can help you stay focused and alert, such as coffee and nuts.

2. Be sure to prepare the vehicle

Check that you carry all safety equipment, clean windshields and mirrors for better vision, check that lights are working properly, adjust the seat and mirrors correctly.

3. Plan the route

When planning your route, keep in mind possible alternate routes in case of any eventuality on the road.

4. Take short breaks en route

It is recommended that every 2 hours of travel you make a stop to stretch, eat, hydrate and rest.

5. Stay alert

Listen to music, if you have companions, keep a good conversation going.
