If you are not familiar with car rentals, we will help you clarify all your doubts so that you do not miss the opportunity to make the trip you want so much.

We share with you some frequently asked questions about the rental service that may help you understand the process better.

 What is the security deposit?

It is an amount that the rent a car will block in your credit card as a backup for the rented vehicle. At the end of the rental, if there are no damages, this amount will be returned in full within 3-5 business days. This requirement can only be done with a credit card.

Are there mandatory coverages?

To rent a vehicle it is mandatory to have coverage for Damage to Vehicle and Theft (CDW-TP) and Third Party Protection (TPL). Both can be purchased at the counter when picking up the vehicle.

What vehicle models does Alamo have?

We offer you a fleet made up of small to large sedans, SUV's, Pick Ups and VAN's, with less than 2 years of being in our fleet.

Can I take my pet in the vehicle?

Yes, you can take your furry friend for a ride, as long as you take care of the smell and upholstery of the car, because if you return the vehicle with smelly or dirty upholstery, an additional charge may be made.

Is there any additional charge for delivering a dirty vehicle?

We do not charge for external car wash, however, if the car is returned with heavy soiling of upholstery, seats, wet smell, cigarette, pet or pet hairs, an additional charge may be made.

What happens if I lose my car keys or papers?

In these cases you should call the assistance service or contact the agency where you rented the vehicle. An additional charge will be made for their replacement.

Can I return the car at another office or at the hotel where I am staying?

You can return the vehicle at any of our offices, this will have an additional charge. If you wish to return the vehicle in another place, you must contact our agents to verify if it is possible and to provide you with the corresponding amount.

What happens if I do not return the car at the exact time indicated in the contract?

The contract gives you 2 hours of grace, after the third hour there may be additional charges. It is necessary that you contact the office where you made the reservation to let them know if there is any delay.
